Social enterprises (CIC’s) are businesses which trade for a social or environmental purpose. As such we commit to the following:
- We have a clear social and environmental mission set out in our governing documents and are controlled in the interest of that mission
- We are independent of state or government control, and earn more than half of our income through trading
- We re-invest or donate at least half of our profits or surpluses towards our mission
- We are transparent in the way we operate and the impact we have

“We show people how their lives could be different instead of the issues they currently face. We offer practical, immediate help – signposting to different services they might need: support for mental health, physical wellbeing, jobs, training or housing. Helping to regain purpose, identity and hope. If this saves one person’s life, then we’ve done enough”
