I’ve Bean Better campaign
We’ve all had good days and bad days.
Sometimes, simply, we’ve bean better.
Maybe you’ve bean better and want to talk, or perhaps you’re open to having a chat with someone else who’s bean better.
In September 2023, Combat2Coffee, Suffolk Mind, ITFC and the ITFC Foundation partnered to launch this campaign.
The I’ve Bean Better campaign was created with an idea of encouraging more people to speak about their mental health.
Coffee-inspired pin badges are hoped to act as a conversation starter for people, with two designs (Combat2Coffee/Ipswich Town Foundation and Combat2Coffee/Suffolk Mind) available.
Nigel Seaman, founder of Combat2Coffee, said: “Mental health is something that affects us all.
“These badges serve as a reminder that it’s ok to not be ok, and encourage us all to ask our friends, families and fellow fans how they are doing.
“Ipswich Town is one big community and we are so proud to have the support of the Club and Suffolk Mind in helping us achieve our mission of changing the world, one sip at a time.”
Jon Neal, Suffolk Mind CEO, said:
“It has been great working with Nigel and the Club on the I’ve Bean Better initiative.
“Community and emotional connection are two of our physical and emotional needs, which both – alongside others – need to be met to improve our mental health. I’ve Bean Better will be a big help in both of these areas.”
Dan Palfrey, Director of the Ipswich Town Foundation, said: “The Club and Foundation are delighted to be working in partnership with Combat2Coffee and Suffolk Mind on this important mental health initiative.
“We want to continue to raise awareness of mental health in Suffolk and also promote conversation, which the badges can be a fantastic mechanism for, and raise money for local charities to re-invest back into the community.”
Profits will go to Combat2Coffee, Suffolk Mind and the Ipswich Town Foundation to help improve the mental health of local people. Badges can be purchased from the Planet Blue store at ITFC, online from Suffolk Mind or Combat2Coffee coffee shop outlets and event vehicles. Or The Greyhound public house in Ipswich, The Bull in Brantham. With thanks to the Hudson Group for supporting the campaign
